Les Acàcies project was born under these three concepts.
Our philosophy as wine makers is to achieve maximum harmony and expressiveness in our entire range of wines, as a true reflection of the qualities of the fruit and its natural environment, working free from established dogmas that may self-limitate us in order to obtain the highest quality, which is our main objective.
While maintaining the essence and the spirit of Bages we want to contribute to the area’s strength and identity. This is why we rely on native varieties such as mandó, picapoll, sumoll or garnacha, and also on a selection of varieties chosen for their excellent adaptation to our terroir.
We want each of our wines to have a distinct character of its own and that each one be a unique proposal that leaves no one indifferent.
And to achieve this we do not renounce anything. Through careful and artisanal production, we ensure that our small works of art faithfully express the true character of a great land of wines, but above all, that they like them as much as anyone else.

Micro-vinification with attention to detail
Being a small winery, we make our wines by micro-vinification in small quantities. This allows us to achieve the best expression of each variety and its terroir and take careo f many detalls that on a large scale is not posible to attend.
For the aging of Avinius and Instant de Flor, we use new French oak barrels, medium toasted +. Balsamic and spicy aromas appear, very respectful with the varieties of these wines.
For Desbordant and Opositor we use different types of cement tanks, ovoids, buckets or amphora. Tannins are softer and floral aromas arise.
The excellent micro-oxygenation they provide is very adequate to enhance the mouthfeel, achieving more smoothness and complexity.
Les Acàcies is a farm located at an average altitude of 500 m within the municipal area of Avinyó, in the northern Bages plateau.
With a rainfall of 635 mm mainly concentrated in spring, the Mediterranean climate dominates, with a continental tendency.
All our vineyards are located on the same estate around the winery surrounded by pine forests, oaks, holm oaks and shrubs suchas rosemary and heather bushes, predominant in the reliefs that surround the Relat river, which runs through our farm.

The estate’s soils are mostly clay with sand¬stone. This feature gives tension to our wines. We also have some loamy vineyards with more drained soils that prevent compaction and maintain a good permeability. This variability allow us to achieve a more complete and bal¬anced final blending.
Our greatest goal is to obtain the best pos¬sible raw material: a grape of supreme quality. That is why we put our efforts and care to main¬tain the best balance between natural resources and the productivity of the vine, along with the minimum external intervention (farming tasks or outer agents).
To give structure to the soil, we apply plant covers, which take root and provide very valu¬able organic matter.
Fertilization is implemented through ho¬meopathic preparations made from plants and flowers, mostly collected in our own farm, and through mixture crops containing mineral, veg¬etal and animal substances, which, exposed to natural forces, grant rich nutrients.
